
BIOGRAPHY
Dmitri Mendeleev was one of the most well known scientists in the area of chemistry. He discovered the law of the Periodic Table which was first introduced in 1869.
Dmitri Mendeleev was born in Tobolski, Russia in an unhealthy family, on the 8th of February 1834. Mendeleev had two siblings Masha Mendeleeva and a brother who died in 1847. His father was Ivan Pavlovich Mendeleev who was blind.
Mendeleev got married twice: his first wife was Feozva Nikitichna Leshcheva in 1862 and the last one was Anna Ivanova Popova in 1882. In total he had six children.
Mendeleev studied in the Main Pedagogical Institute in St. Petrsburgh and later on graduated in 1855. After graduating Mendeleev studied science in both Russia and Germany.
